If you or your loved ones have any questions regarding our new policies, please feel free to contact the office at (614) 471-1161.
As of February 2023, the office of Dr Portia J. Bell will NO LONGER require temperatures be taken from Patients or Team Members upon entry. Face Masks and COVID-19 Wellness Forms are still mandatory for all patients. The time period for requiring Negative COVID-19 status documentation or result letters has been decreased from 90 Days to 30 Days. Our updated COVID-19 policy is as follows:
If you have tested POSITIVE for COVID-19 in the past 30 DAYS, a copy of your Clearance Letter and/or a copy of your Negative Status Results must be submitted no later than 48 hours prior to your appointment. Without this document appointments will be subject to cancellation. (Results may be obtained from the City Public Health System, the medical facility who administered the test, CVS or Walgreens, or an At Home COVID-19 test)
As of Monday, March 7th, 2022 Mayor Andrew Ginther officially ended the Mask Mandate in public spaces for the City of Columbus. Portia J. Bell DDS Inc. is a medical facility, providing essential dental care to several patients daily. It is because of this that Portia J. Bell DDS Inc. will continue to require all patients and Team Members to wear a mask or face covering while in the office at all possible times. We do our utmost to keep everyone under our care as safe as possible. We accomplish this by maintaining proper social distance, wearing appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), using anti-bacterial mouthwash with all patients before beginning their appointments and more. We thank you for your understanding and compliance with our offices policies.
Happy New Year! The office of Portia J. Bell DDS Inc. is remaining diligent as new variants of COVID-19 appear in Ohio. All team members continue to have their temperatures taken at the start of every work day and surveyed for COVID-19 symptoms. Per CDC guidelines, clinicians are still wearing all proper PPE garments when seeing patients. We will continue to require all patients to wear a mask or face covering at all possible times during their appts.
The office of Portia J. Bell DDS Inc. will now require all patients, that have contracted COVID-19 in the last 30 days, to present a negative status test result in order to be seen. If patients are fully vaccinated, we can add their vaccination card to their chart for accurate record keeping.
We thank you for your cooperation with our office policies!
We at the office of Portia J. Bell DDS Inc. continue to uphold our in-depth cleanliness and COVID-19 protocols. Recently Governor Mike DeWine rescinded the Mask Mandate for Ohioans. We at the office of Dr. Bell will continue to require all patients and guests to wear a mask or face covering at all possible times.
We as a team will maintain all CDC guidelines regarding proper sanitation, PPE apparel and social distancing. All team members will continue to have their temperature checked at the beginning of each day and all patients at their appointment time.
As members of the health and dental community it is our duty to insure the health and wellness of our patients. By abiding all CDC guidelines and remaining diligent in our COVID-19 safety procedures we hope to serve each and every one of our patients safely and proficiently.
This month Dr. Bell wants to remind you of the importance of mouthwash in your daily oral health care routine. Gargling mouthwash for 30 seconds twice a day reduces the bacterial colonies in the mouth, keeping your breath fresh and your mouth healthy!
We are continuing to implement and improve our COVID-19 protocols to keep our patients and Team Members safe.
Watch the video below to hear how we accomplish just that!
All patients are asked to do a pre-clinical rinse with an anti-bacterial mouthwash, Listerine. This rinse will reduce the number of bacteria in the mouth & throat prior to any dental treatment.
Please be assured that our office is following the developing situation regarding the 2019 novel coronavirus, also known as COVID-19, and taking the precautions and preventative practices being recommended by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (the CDC).
